Bernheim Original Kentucky Straight Wheat Whiskey is the first innovation in American whiskey production since Prohibition in the 1930s USA. Bernheim Original Kentucky Straight Wheat Whiskey is distilled primarily from winter wheat. The use of wheat gives a very smooth and deliciously sweet character. Bernheim is produced at the Bernheim Distillery in Louisville, Kentucky using the small batch principle: Copper-colored Aroma: Delicately soft and delicate sweetness. Honey, vanilla, caramel and maple syrup blend beautifully. A few drops of water bring out coconut, cinnamon and a hint of licorice.
Taste: Soft and mildly toasted oak gives a lovely warmth, body and subtle sweetness. Toffee, menthol, vanilla and a little pepper provide a delicate counterpoint to the fine sweetness. The finish is long and spicy.
