Danish Thy Whisky No 9 - Bøg was named "European Whisky of the Year" with a rating of 96.5/100. There are only 42 whiskies that have ever received a higher rating in the history of the Whisky Bible and never has a Danish whisky won a category and received such a high rating.

Thy Whisky is a Danish single malt whisky produced at Thy Whisky Distillery. It is made from 100% malted barley from the local fields and water from a spring in Thy National Park. After distillation, the whisky is matured in bourbon, sherry casks for at least three years, which gives it its distinctive flavor.

Thy Whisky has won several awards and accolades, including a gold medal at the World Whiskies Awards in 2018. It is known for its high quality and unique taste, inspired by both the Scottish and Danish whisky traditions
