This Danish Organic Single Malt Whisky is bottled at 57.4%, where the beech smoke is at its peak and the sherry cask imprint is intense but balanced with deep sweetness, notes of apple and fresh fruits and a hint of oak from the old barrels.

We love the beech smoke, which is more reminiscent of licorice pipes and campfires than the classic peat smoke ball and tar.Thy Whisky No. 14 - Beech is experienced in three waves. First the sweetness of the smoke and malt, then the depth and complexity of the oak and finally the dry oloroso sherry that dries the tongue and leaves a long and pleasant finish.

The whisky is made from the old Nordic odyssey barley and grown on our fields at Stenbjerg, in Thy National Park, malted and smoked, brewed, distilled and aged in converted ex-oloroso casks in the whisky warehouse at our organic farm Gyrup in Thy. The story of Bøg: Thy's plantations separate the might of the sea from the grace of the fjord, they keep the sand drift at bay and create respite for people and animals. Forests created by true Jutland pioneers who created land and shelter from the raging west wind. It took many attempts and a lot of time for the roots to take hold, but today the trees stand firm. From the deep blue coniferous forest to the spring-fresh foliage. In honor of their creators, we've created this whisky, marked by the gentle smoke of our national tree - the beech. Enjoy it in a quiet moment when the west wind shows its teeth
