The distillery uses traditional floor malting to malt their barley. A practice only a few quality-conscious producers still use. This 100% handcrafted whisky is slowly distilled before being filled into oak casks of the finest caliber.Hazelburn is a unique range of single malt whiskies from Springbank distillery. The whisky stands out by being distilled three times, making it extra smooth and refined. At the same time, the style is strikingly fresh because the malt is not peat-smoked. Rundlets and Kilderkins are small wooden casks with a capacity of 68 liters, which in the old days were sold directly to the local nobility in Campbeltown. The drying of the casks ensures that there is more contact between the whisky and the oak during maturation. The maturation accelerates, making this 10-year-old Hazelburn feel older than it actually is.
