Background:

Green Sustainability - Ron Sostenible Rum from A Clean Spirit

Both rum products from A Clean Spirit called Ron Sostenible are produced with sustainability in mind so you can always enjoy them with a clear conscience! They are shipped here from the Dominican Republic by sailboat without the use of an engine and produced at one of the world's most sustainable distilleries. The rum has been bottled in recycled bottles and has labels made of cotton or grass paper.

Ron Sostenible Dark Rum from A Clean Spirit - this delicious Dominican Republic Rum is bottled at 40% and the taste is soft and round. Ron Sostenible Dark takes you on a fantastic flavor journey filled with powerful sweetness. The rum has been aged for eight years. With notes of caramel, vanilla, orange peel and spicy oak, it deserves to be enjoyed in all its simplicity. Enjoy Ron Sostenible Dark in a Glencairn glass.

The rum is produced at a huge distillery where they have their own sugar cane fields adjacent to the distillery. They have up to 4000 employees who are paid a decent wage. The distillery has a very strong CSR policy, which is about giving their employees the opportunity for further education and free medical care, and they make sure that the poor children in the area go to school, says Bintu Singh from the company A Clean Spirit
