70 cl / 40% Danish Premium VodkaHAIVE is truly Danish vodka - based on an idea that originated over 1,000 years ago. The story of HAIVE begins when the Danish Vikings set out on their infamous raids and returned to Denmark with valuable treasures such as gold and honey. The Vikings celebrate their great victories with Mead - a fermented drink based on the honey from their raids. Mead is known from that time as the nectar of the gods, and even today the drink is associated with concepts such as faith and mythology. We want to create a vodka based on Danish history. And we have spent a long time developing and perfecting the process of distilling mead in a custom-made copper kettle. The result is a uniquely Danish vodka - completely free of the impurities and fusel oils that characterize vodkas made from grain and potatoes. ''With HAIVE vodka the most important qualities of an alcohol have been realized. Which is to refine and at the same time intensify the flavor. HAIVE has a nice balance of the floral and spicy notes that the golden Nordic mead drops have to offer. As a pure taste experience, a long-awaited hope for me that a vodka could once again be enjoyed neat, with a deeper and more complex expression, has been realized. HAIVE has a velvety body from the honey wine and with the right cool temperature, it goes excellently with caviar, oysters and shellfish.

In the cocktail world, vodka has been out of the picture, as rum, whiskey and especially gin have and still are making their presence felt in classic and new cocktail recipes. With HAIVE, my colleagues and I have a new chance to fulfill the most important requirement of a cocktail, to respect the spirit. A discipline that previously with vodka has been useless. But with HAIVE's unique expression, it comes into its own in fresh cocktails, and in my own cocktail universe, with Nordic-based ingredients. HAIVE compliments the often deeper, more acidic and coarser notes of the Nordic crops.HAIVE is a tribute to the Nordic era, and a gift to the spirits and cocktail renaissance of this time.
