It is crafted from floor-malted Danish rye, initially aged in new American oak barrels and then given an extra maturation in carefully selected Oloroso and Moscatel sherry casks from Jerez, Spain. This edition from Stauning boasts a deep, dark amber color with ruby-red nuances. The aroma features notes of vanilla, caramel, and wildflower honey, followed by fennel and tobacco. The flavor is characterized by Seville oranges, black tea, and spicy fennel. The finish is rich with figs, tobacco, Demerara sugar, and soft notes of caramelized oak.
