An Austrian banker and a Mexican woman from Jalisco met at a German university – and from that love story grew a bottle crowned with a metal skull and a tale of friendship that outlasts death itself.

    Expert Description

Padre Azul Blanco Super Premium Mexican Tequila is a Mexican Blanco Tequila made from 100% agave, bottled at 38%.

The brand was created by Austrian Hans-Peter Eder and his Mexican wife Adriana Alvarez Maxemin, who met while studying in Germany. The Alvarez Maxemin family's ties to Jalisco led to a partnership with a small distillery near the town of Tequila, where master distiller Erika Sangeado oversees production. Padre Azul launched in 2016 and has since picked up several international awards for its smoothness and purity. The Blanco is made from blue Weber agave, left to mature for eight to ten years in the Jalisco soil before being cooked, double-distilled and bottled without any time in cask.
