Molinari Sambuca Extra is an Italian aniseed liqueur from Civitavecchia, bottled at 40% ABV.

Angelo Molinari, a trained perfumer, began his experiments in 1945 to create a sambuca of the highest quality, and the recipe remains secret to this day. The liqueur quickly became part of Roman bar culture and featured, among other things, in Federico Fellini's "La Dolce Vita". In 1974, the family expanded production with a new facility in Colfelice near Frosinone.

The liqueur has an unmistakable, clean flavour based on star anise, with a full sweetness and an intense aroma. The high ABV of 40% adds extra strength and warmth to the taste.
