El Puerto de Santa María is the third town of the sherry triangle - less famous than Jerez and Sanlúcar, but with its own microclimate that gives the flor yeast yet another expression to work with.
Expert's Description
Lustau Fino En Rama El Puerto 2024 Spring Release is a Sherry from El Puerto de Santa María, Spain made from the Palomino grape, bottled at 15% ABV.
El Puerto sits on the coast between Jerez and Cádiz, and the town's humid but slightly warmer climate than Sanlúcar gives a Fino with more body and weight than its coastal sibling, while still keeping the sharp, dry character from the flor ageing. As part of Lustau's annual En Rama series, the sherry is bottled straight from the cask without fining or filtration.
