The name indicates that the final product contains more than one type of malt, which provides entirely different opportunities to work with the flavor. Previously, Scottish blended malt was also referred to as Vatted Malt Scotch Whisky, but this term has fallen out of use. As with all whiskies, bottles come in a range of price levels and variations.
