Thanks to the short finish with this cask the Tomintoul spirit has not been overwhelmed. Classic Sherry with dried fruits and dark Demerara sugars but still holding on to a real subtlety. Palate: This is an “old school” dram juicy, warming and yet gentle and delightfully fruity. Finish: Darker charred oak starts to show itself which fits perfectly with the fruity palate. Drier than expected from the palate but a wonderful finish to a great dram
