Stauning Smoke Design Edition is a Danish Whisky bottled at 47%, made from floor-malted smoked barley. Stauning Smoke is one of the distillery's core expressions, known for its gentle, fresh smoke from barley peated with heather and oak chips – a very different approach from the heavily peated Islay style. The Design Edition features a special artistic bottle design.

Smoke and RØG are both smoked expressions from Stauning, but RØG uses peated rye while Smoke uses peated barley – two very different characters.

Tasting notes

Nose

Gentle, fresh smoke with citrus, green fruits and a hint of vanilla. Heather-inflected smoke rather than heavy peat.

Palate

Light smoke and fresh fruits dominate. Yellow apples, pear and light vanilla with a subtle herbal note from the heather.

Finish

Clean and relatively short with fresh smoke and a light fruit note. Elegant and approachable.
