A Seattle bartender grew so tired of having only two bitters to choose from that he rented space in a restaurant basement and started experimenting. Today over a hundred brands exist, he started with just four competitors on the entire market.
Expert's description
Scrappy's Bitters Lavender is an aromatic cocktail bitter at 50.8% ABV, bottled at 14.8 cl.
Behind the brand stands bartender Miles "Scrappy" Thomas, who founded Scrappy's Bitters in Seattle in 2008, at the time the only craft bitters brand in North America. Scrappy's uses only fresh, organic fruits and herbs, never oils, extracts or dried products, which makes the Lavender edition something of a flagship. Scrappy's is considered the originator of lavender bitters as a category, and the recipe is built to capture spring's light, floral character in a bottle without turning perfumed or overwhelming.
