New Volbeat Rome III - Finally for sale to Volbeat Fans

When Volbeat launched their first rum back in 2016, the famous band wanted to offer their dedicated fans something out of the ordinary. Something special - something that stimulated the band's own appreciation for all the elements that go into producing alcohol. It also allowed them to reach out to a whole new group of people who weren't already Volbeat fans.

Volbeat have immersed themselves in the process, rather than simply adding their name and logo to the bottle. In addition to the all-important task of tasting, the band is also involved in the production stages. "With music, I know what I'm doing and I have years of experience," Poulsen explains, as the band has achieved multi-platinum sales. "But with rum, I'm still learning about aromas and the blending process. It's a journey of discovery and I'm very excited to be able to give something to people. Even those who might say, 'I don't like their music, but their rum is great'." He adds with a laugh, "Maybe they'll like the music after they've drunk the whole bottle of rum!"

The band's quest to find and now produce the perfect rum has evolved, just as their music has. The first release was a penetrating and full-bodied release, while Vol. 2 (released in 2017) was a lighter and more delicate affair.
