Kurayoshi Whisky
Kurayoshi WhiskyKurayoshi is a Japanese distillery located at the base of Mt. Daisen in Tottori, Japan. The location was chosen due to its climate, as the temperature variations lead to greater interaction between the cask and the spirit, resulting in exceptional whisky flavor. Additionally, the pure spring water used is considered by Kurayoshi Distillery to be one of the most essential and important components of great whisky.Kurayoshi employs a variety of casks, including the Japanese oak type mizunara. They also use casks made of cherry wood, wine barrels, and sherry casks. The distillery is owned by Matsui Shuzo, a company that has been producing shochu since 1910. It wasn't until 2015 that they received a license for whisky production, leading to the creation of Kurayoshi. Explore our selection here and taste your new favorite from Kurayoshi. |
