The distillery Glen Spey is located in Rothes in Speyside and is one of the smallest distilleries owned by Diageo. A rarely heard of distillery that produces whisky for J&B. Malt and fruity notes on the nose. Medium body with orange, toffee and vanilla on the palate. Classic Speyside expression.

In 1992, the then United Distillers (now Diageo, the world's largest spirits company) launched the Flora & Fauna series, which at the time consisted of 26 different versions of Scotch Single Malt whisky to showcase the vast differences in Scotland's whisky regions. Bottled at 43% for most of the bottles, but some were also bottled at Cask Strength, i.e. full cask strength, and some versions also came in wooden boxes.
