Fewer than 2,000 bottles exist of each edition, and every single one carries the master blender's own signature – Signature is A.H. Riise's tribute to the man whose name still graces the label 150 years on.

    Expert Description

A.H. Riise Signature Master Blender Collection is a rum-based Spirit Drink composed of rum from multiple origins and maturation levels, bottled at 43.9%.

Behind the A.H. Riise name today stands the company Old St. Croix, which officially changed its name in June 2025 but continues to build on the legacy of Danish pharmacist Albert Heinrich Riise (1810-1882), who travelled to the Caribbean driven by a spirit of discovery. Signature is composed of rum from a wide range of casks of different origin and maturity, where a deliberate residue left in the barrels helps intensify the complexity and unique character of the blend. Because the sugar content exceeds the EU limit of 20 grams per litre for products labelled as rum, the bottle is officially sold as a spirit drink.

    Who is A.H. Riise?

Albert Heinrich Riise was a Danish pharmacist who travelled to the then-Danish West Indies in the 1800s and laid the foundation for one of the oldest rum brands with roots in the Caribbean.

How many bottles exist of each Signature edition?

Fewer than 2,000 bottles per edition, each signed by the responsible master blender.

Best neat in a cognac glass at room temperature, ideally on a special occasion where the complexity can be enjoyed slowly.
