    Bodegas Ximenez-Spinola PX Solera 1918 is a Fortified Wine from Spain made from Pedro Ximénez, bottled at 15% ABV.

    The wine is a Pedro Ximénez de pasas, where the grapes are sun-dried for up to 21 days before pressing, significantly concentrating the sugar. The average age of the wine in the bottle is around 15 years, and the residual sugar is among the highest in the sherry world, around 350-400 grams per litre.

    Tasting Notes

    Nose

    Intense raisin, roasted coffee and dark chocolate.

    Palate

    Dominated by sun-dried raisins with notes of dried fig, prune and liquorice.

    Finish

    Very long and syrupy with sweet spice.
