Ron Dos Mares 2008 Vintage Limited Edition 16 Year is a Panama Rum, aged for 16 years and bottled at 44.7%.

The rum is produced by Varela Hermanos at Hacienda San Isidro in Panama, the family company also behind Ron Abuelo. Like the rest of the Vintage series, the rum is column distilled from molasses and aged in American oak casks in Panama's tropical climate. With 16 years of ageing, the 2008 vintage is the youngest of the four in the range, giving it a lighter, more approachable style while retaining the character built by its long ageing.

The result is a round, dark rum, where caramel and dried fruit meet a warm, mild finish.
