Red label, higher strength. When Foursquare raised R.L. Seale's classic 10 Year Old from 43% to 46%, an already respected Barbados rum grew even more intense without losing its nutty balance.
Expert Description
R.L. Seale's Foursquare 10 Year Export Proof is a Barbados Rum aged at least ten years in ex-bourbon casks and bottled at 46%.
The rum is produced at Foursquare Distillery in Barbados under the leadership of Richard Seale, one of the modern rum industry's most respected voices, known for his insistence on full transparency around ingredients and maturation methods. R.L. Seale's Finest Barbados Rum is a blend of pot still and column distilled rums, both of which have rested at least ten years in previously used bourbon casks before being blended into the finished Export Proof edition.
The higher strength of 46%, an upgrade from the previous 43% edition, gives the rum more body and intensity, without compromising the classic Foursquare style's elegant balance between pot still weight and column distillate purity.
