About Glen Moray

Glen Moray was originally a brewery founded in 1897. The distillery is part of Glenmorrangie and all their single malts are now finished in vinfade. They are therefore also light whiskies in style. Today, around 2 million liters are produced annually.

Glen Moray The distillery is located in the town of Elgin on the right bank of the Lossie River. Elgin is a historic town and the capital of the Speyside region in the north of Scotland - known around the world for its fantastic quality malt whisky. This small authentic distillery has been producing Single Malt Whisky for over 100 years using water from the River Lossie. Built in 1831 as a brewery and converted to a distillery in 1897. There are only 16 employees - all skilled craftsmen who know their stuff and take pride in carrying on Glen Moray's traditional methods and excellent whisky.

The team behind Glen Moray The distillery is locally sourced, making the whole operation a family affair. For over 120 years, Glen Moray has had access to the finest casks and have become experts in marrying Glen Moray the whisky with wine and spirit casks.
