Blossa Glögg

Blossa is essentially Christmas in a bottle in Sweden – the glögg that has defined what Swedish mulled wine should taste like since the 1930s. Each year Blossa releases a new 'vintage glögg' with its own spice theme, a tradition that has turned the brand into a recurring event as much as a drink. With near-100% brand recognition in Sweden, Blossa is Nordic Christmas comfort in its purest form.

    Item no.: 059763-615-119

Mulled wine doesn't have to be dark and heavy. Blossa Rosé starts with a Spanish rosé wine and adds strawberry and cranberry on top - the result is a paler, fruitier take on glögg, just as happy served cold as warm.

    Expert's Description

Blossa Glögg Rosé is a Swedish Mulled Wine from Sweden made from Spanish rosé wine with added strawberry and cranberry, bottled at 10% ABV.

Blossa is one of the best-known glögg names in the Nordics, and the Rosé version is a newer addition to the range - a drier, fruitier style than the classic dark glögg. The spicing is the same familiar combination of clove, cardamom and ginger, but here it meets the rosé wine's light, berry-driven character instead of the heavy, sweet base of a traditional red wine glögg.

    Tasting Notes

    Nose

Strawberry and cranberry alongside the classic glögg spices - clove, cardamom and ginger.

    Palate

Fruity and comparatively dry, with the berry character up front and the spices as a warm undertone.

    Finish

Light and refreshing, with a spiced trail.

    Serving & Food Pairing

Blossa Rosé can be enjoyed two ways: cold, poured over ice in a wine glass, or warmed up the traditional glögg way. Serve it with Christmas cookies, pebernødder or a piece of dark chocolate.

    Item no.: 22227865481-8455-98

Blossa Trestjärnig Brons is made from a secret recipe dating back to 1895, originally developed by the renowned wine merchant JD Grönstedt & Co in Stockholm.

    Expert's Description

Blossa Trestjärnig Brons is a Fortified Wine Glögg from Sweden with an alcohol content of 21%, with added rum. JD Grönstedt & Co was founded by Johan Daniel Grönstedt in the mid-19th century and ran its wine warehouse at Stora Nygatan 31 in Gamla Stan, Stockholm's old town - the firm was in its day one of the city's most respected and known specifically for its glögg. The Trestjärnig range builds on that heritage with a fuller, sweeter style than the dry Guld edition, where rum gives a warm and rounded foundation.
