We absolutely love this. Suntory Royal blended whisky was first introduced in 1960 to mark the company's 60th anniversary. The surroundings of the distillery, located on the outskirts of the ancient capital of Kyoto, with its clean water and moderate temperatures, are perfect for whisky production. The production method is based on the Scottish double distillation in kettles. However, the Japanese have added their own innovation to the production process by using rare Japanese oak barrels.
