Drouet Paradis de Famille Hors D'Age is a French Cognac from Grande Champagne, between 25 and 30 years old and bottled at 42%.
The cognac comes from Cognac Drouet, the family house that has run its estate at the heart of Grande Champagne since 1848, and which in 1969 was taken over by Monique and Gérard Drouet, parents of the house's current generation.
The term Hors D'Age is used for cognac so old that it is no longer given a precise age statement, and is instead simply recognised as being beyond the usual. Paradis de Famille is made from 100% Grande Champagne grapes and represents one of the most complex expressions in the house's collection.

Nose
The nose is a wall of aroma with apricot, fig, vanilla and oak.
Palate
The palate is pronounced and grape-sweet with vanilla and fruit, with countless nuances rolling through the mouth.
Finish
The finish is dense and nuanced, where the spices eventually take over and linger on and on.
