Mackmyra has pursued their dreams and created Swedish whisky. It is made using local ingredients and without additives. Mackmyra constantly strives to develop their whisky. The result has put Sweden on the international whisky map.

Swedish oak
The Swedish oak used for the casks has grown for over a hundred years under harsh Swedish conditions. The oak adds extra character to Mackmyra Whisky.

Swedish smoke
Mackmyra uses Swedish peat from the nearby peat bog, "Karinmossen," and fresh juniper twigs, creating the unique Mackmyra smoke.

Small casks
The use of small casks intensifies the aging process, and by using different sizes of casks (down to 30 liters), Mackmyra achieves the precise character they desire. Small casks impart a fantastic flavor.

Small batches
Mackmyra is not a large distillery, so a lot of love can be put into production. There is room to maintain craftsmanship in production and think unconventionally.

Quality casks
The casks have either been used once or are brand new. This results in an intense flavor with plenty of character. Thanks to this and the small casks, the whisky matures quickly and gains a complex, rich, and smooth taste.

Local ingredients
All ingredients are local, and no additives are used. There is traceability down to each individual barley kernel. Mackmyra is pure Swedish whisky!
