Then notes of dates, figs and raisins emerge, whose flavors are balanced by spices like nutmeg, vanilla and ginger, and fruits like apples and oranges. The Macallan The 1824 Series has no age statement, but instead celebrates the natural color tones of the whisky. Instead of age statements, The Macallan the 1824 Series emphasizes the same high quality in every bottle and the characteristic golden color. The MacallanThe 6 Pillars are the DNA of every bottle of whisky and the 1824 Series is formed with uncompromising commitment to these. "-We drink whisky - not vintages!!!" quote: Martin Markvardsen, Senior Brand Ambassador The Macallan Macallan Sienna Color: Glowing yellow with a glossy sheen Aroma: Subtle vanilla notes on the nose that are persistent without being overwhelming. Orange peel adorns the fragrance in a nice combination of sharp and sweet citrus fruits, with undertones of green apple adding freshness and balancing the balance nicely. Approximately 16% will be casked 5 The Natural Colour: The color of The Macallan 's Single Malts comes exclusively from the exceptional oak casks 6 The Peerless Spirit: Master Whisky Blender, Bob Dalgarno keeps a close eye on the sleeping whisky. Perfection is incomparable to The Macallan The Series as a whole will also replace The Macallan 's fine oak and sherry oak expressions from 10 Year Old to 17 Year Old, making the 18 Year Old the youngest whisky in its portfolio with an age statement. The Series, claims Joy Eliot, The Macallan brand ambassador, helps communicate two of The Macallan 's core themes: color and wood. "Part of why we are doing this, is all about colour," she said. "The Macallan doesn't add any spirit caramel to its whisky. Instead we use a range of woods to define our range of colors."The rest of the range however will be shipped to around 50 markets worldwide, including core European markets and emerging markets such as Brazil, Vietnam and Mexico. Asia Pacific will receive the Series in one to two years' time. The rest of the Series, which have been matured for either longer or in a wider range of casks, consists of: Amber: Another 40% abv whisky. The amber spirit is polite, almost apologetic at first with a floral, citrus sweet nose that gains presence commanding a chorus of sweet vanilla notes over freshly harvested grain. Raisin, sultana and cinnamon look on as toffee apples and candy floss step into the limelight. Sienna: A 43% abv whisky. This warm Sienna-coloured spirit opens with a subtle vanilla nose, persistent yet not overpowering. Orange elbows its way in, turning zesty and sharp though tempering green apples add freshness and balance. White chocolate truffles follow with a hint of nutmeg and ginger. Ruby: The premium product in The Macallan 1824 Series. Disturbed from a long sleep in a dark and quiet warehouse European oak piques the nose before reluctantly admitting rich, dried fruits and an edgy trickle of treacle. On the palate a rush of ginger, nutmeg and resin herald orange, sultana and raisin with their restrained but pervasive sweetness. With the absence of age statements, The Macallan has designed the packaging of the Series to reflect the colour, flavour and price point of each whisky. The Macallan 1824 Series is separate to The Macallan 1824 Collection that is currently exclusively available in global travel retail. Elliot added that the Series may come to be known as 'The Colour Range' in time
