Tasting notes from www.whiskyflasken.dk:Nose: Very subdued smoke. Lots of cask and some charcoal, but not at all the barbecue that I usually get in a Bowmore. Orange, raisins and dark chocolate, but again it's all very subdued. There's more ocean in this one compared to the younger bottlings and it shows with salt and seafood. A little bit of coffee and some cinnamon. It's definitely a nose that pulls in many directions and it's quite fascinating.The taste: Dark berries combined with citrus fruits and chocolate. Cinnamon and something reminiscent of syrup and brown sugar. It has plenty of body and feels very creamy. The smoke comes around the middle of the palette and then there's tobacco and pepper. It becomes a bit mineral, but it never loses its sweetness. At the end of the palette, there is coffee and even more sweetness. Very fine balance.Aftertaste: Long and spicy aftertaste with tobacco, cinnamon and chocolate.Score: 87/100
