FEW Spirits was founded in 2011 by Paul Hletko in Evanston, Illinois — the birthplace of the American temperance movement, which remained dry for 117 years from 1855 to 1972. The name FEW is a cheeky nod to Frances Elizabeth Willard, one of Evanston's most prominent temperance advocates, and the distillery was founded as a grain-to-glass project, distilling everything from scratch on site.
