Róse & Tonic with Belsazar Vermouth

The perfect Vermouth Cocktail

Ingredients

• 5 cl Belsazar Róse


• 10 cl Fevertree Indian Tonic


• Garnish - fragrant slice of Orange

Procedure

1. Place a glass in the fridge.
2. Add all ingredients to the glass
3. Top up with ice cubes
4. Garnish - a slice of orange or red grapefruit.

Serve in a Riedel glass - preferably chilled in advance.

Belsazar Vermouth

Super nice vermouth from Germany, enjoy it neat or use it in eg. Negroni cocktail. The story behind the German vermouth producer Belsazar saw the light of day in 2013 and quickly became a huge hit among bartenders - as the products are great to use in cocktails and drink recipes. The collaboration itself is between Maximilian Wagner and Sebastian Brack and Philipp Schladerer of the famous Alfred Schladerer Schwarzwälder Hausbrennerei. Naturally, Schladerer in the Black Forest supplies the brandy used to fortify the vermouth, while the wine base (much of which is Pinot Noir) comes from the southern part of Baden and is flavored with wormwood and specially selected herbs. Back in 2018, the world's largest spirits group Diageo acquired the vermouth company Belsazar and a new chapter was started.
