Rum Company consists of 3 German friends who in 2009 started the company because of their passion for rum. Their passion extended so far that they started to find and mix/blend their own rum. This idea was not a bad idea, because they apparently hit the right taste. In 2011 Rum Company Old Matinique, won silver in the Agricole category at the German Rum Festival in Berlin.
In 2012, Rum Company Cocorange Old Rum won gold in the Flavoured Rum category at the German Rum Festival in Berlin.Rum Company 15 "Limited edition" Premium rum, blended from rums aged for a minimum of 15 years. Enjoy as a single drink or in combination with a light chocolate or a good cigar. Aroma: Delicious notes of walnut and a fruity taste are the first thing that hits the nose. Later, small flavors of chocolate and pickled cherries are detected. Taste: An expressive spicy sweetness, sherry notes and balanced bitter notes that remain on the palate for a long time. The fruit from the fragrance is found again as a mixture of pear and caramelized sugar. Rum Company Old Barbados (700ml, 40%) This is Rum Company's interpretation of the perfect Barbados rum. Extreme smoothness combined with an abundance of fruit flavors. Aroma: Big aroma, fruity and sweet, a little orange and coconut. Taste: Rich, beautiful sweetness with orange notes, coconut, vanilla, dried peach and ripe banana. A bit like likør. Aftertaste: Very pleasant, long and still delicious sweetness with tropical fruit. Conclusion: Barbados is a sin worthy and ideal with dessert or a cigar.Rum Company Old Nicaragua (700ml, 42%) A representative of the very fine classic style of Nicaragua, as well as the perfect companion for a cigar from Central America, preferably from Nicaragua. Aroma: Full-bodied with wonderful aroma of vanilla, light notes of spice.
Taste: A large spectrum of aromas, fine sweetness, warm notes of wood and a little cocoa, soft and harmonious and various notes of fruit. Aftertaste: Long aftertaste that leaves a fine sweetness. RUM COMPANY AFICIONADO (500ml, 40%) As a lover of good cigars, it has long been the desire of Rum Company's 3 owners to create a rum with combinations of different aromas from cigars. It should have its own unique character, but also come into its own with a good cigar. The result is a rum blended from young rums from 3 years and old rums up to 25 years. Aroma: Sweet of caramel and molasses. Taste: At first very strong of molasses and chocolate, then soft and still sumptuous aromas of coffee, mocha and caramel. Some dried fruits and oak. Aftertaste: A long-lasting and pleasant soft spicy flavour. Conclusion: The perfect companion for a light to medium cigar!Rum Company Old Panama (700ml, 42%)Rum Company has a special fondness for rum from Panama and has long wanted their own version. This was easier said than done, as their expectations were high. It was a real treasure hunt to find the right ingredients. Rum Company's definition of a Panama style is that it should contain: Complex aromas with a balanced sweetness. Notes of fruit and spice. A massive rum that should tantalize without overwhelming. Aroma: Herbs (eucalyptus and thyme), pleasant sweetness. Taste: Delicious tropical fruits (pineapple and banana), eucalyptus and vanilla. Finish: Delightful roasted nuts, vanilla, caramel and honey. Conclusion: A very exciting Panama!RUM COMPANY COCORANGE OLD RUM (700ml, 40%) Blend of aged rum from the Caribbean with a special note of fresh coconut and orange peel. Aroma: Fresh sweet coconut, delicate orange and vanilla. Taste: Wonderfully present and full in the mouth, with a pleasant coconut note and delicate sweet fruit. The orange flavour rounds off the experience perfectly. Aftertaste: The delicious coconut remains on the palate for a long time and makes you want the next sip. Conclusion: Perfect in cocktails and irresistible on its own in a glass or with ice. In October 2012, Cocorange Old Rum won gold in the Flavoured Rum category at the Rum Festival 2012 in Berlin.
