Glasgow 1770 Red Wine & Ruby Port Cask Finish is the finest symphony of malted barley with incredibly pure water from Loch Katrine and has undergone a fermentation process lasting over 72 hours before being carefully distilled using the distillery's traditional copper pot stills.

This whisky is a blend of two different malt whiskies, both from the Glasgow distillery. One is a peated whisky that has been finished in Bordeaux red wine casks. The other is an unpeated triple-distilled whisky that has been finished in Ruby Port wine casks.

The result is a rather complex and slightly smoky whisky with deep, vinous notes.

This single malt whisky has been carefully selected by Mac Y for their 25th anniversary celebrations, which took place in September 2021. It is a peated whisky matured in ex-bourbon casks and then finished in Ruby Port casks.

The nose offers a sweet peat smoke leading to rich chocolate cake and freshly planed oak with notes of rolled tobacco and cracked leather. The palate is rich and smooth with notes of strawberry and raspberry leading to sand cake and cocoa with hints of milk chocolate and coffee beans. The finish is long and complex with notes of rich summer wine, smoked barbeque sauce and dried dark fruits.
