The Glasgow Distillery Company is a relatively new distillery, but one that dates back to 1770. In 2013, with the help of a professor from Glasgow University, they decided to rebuild a new distillery in Glasgow city center - the first in the city itself in over 100 years. The distillery was built with many references to the original 1770 distillery. In 2018, their first whisky was launched on the world market. Of course, it had to be called 1770, in reference to the original distillery.
