The first whisky edition from Enghaven. 476 bottles only. A beautiful and robust aroma of warm wood, malt and a volatile spicy character, as you would find in a fine old cognac. After some time in the glass, deeper notes of caramel, toffee, nuts and dried fruit emerge. The taste is delicious and spicy: at first we encounter the cognac style, but then more malt sweetness and clear references to the sherry cask follow, with plums, berries, nuts and dried figs and dates. It has a delicious creamy mouthfeel, with both richness and bite, leading into a long and spicy aftertaste.

The book is written by Torben Stephen Mathews, a native Englishman with a love of languages, football and beer. He has a broad knowledge of the beer universe thanks to countless study trips over the past 20 years in preparation for themed lectures, which have also resulted in two books on beer and food and a TV series focusing on the new Danish microbreweries. Author's foreword "This book is intended as a solid introduction to Scottish brewing and an informal guide for beer lovers and epicureans, such as myself, to beery and culinary experiences with a focus on good pubs, good breweries and their products, liberally spiced with interesting stops along the way and anecdotes from personal experiences.
