Lennox is the old name for the land around Loch Lomond, and Murray McDavid has used it as the title for this young, heavily peated take on Croftengea – a whisky with no time for caution.

    Expert's Description

Croftengea Lennox Peat 2018/2022 is a Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky matured in oak casks and bottled at 46%.

The whisky was distilled in 2018 under Loch Lomond's heavily peated Croftengea profile and, after four years of maturation, was bottled by independent bottler Murray McDavid in 2022 under the name "Lennox Peat" – named after the historic term for the land surrounding the loch. Murray McDavid always bottles at a minimum of 46% with no added colouring or chill filtration.

    Tasting Notes

    Nose

Coastal smoke meets sweet lemon sponge and a hint of freshly baked bread.

    Palate

Medicinal, fresh peat with orange blossom and a creamy sweetness that keeps the smoke in check.

    Finish

Gentle malt, sea spray and a hint of smoky peach in the finish.
