Glenfarclas 105 is a Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky matured in sherry casks and bottled at cask strength 60% in a 35 cl bottle.

The contents are identical to the large release. The 35 cl bottle is practical because a whisky at 60% goes a long way — less is needed per glass, and for many people half a bottle is enough to get to know a whisky before committing to a full one.

The name Glenfarclas is said to mean the glen of the green grassland, and the freshness on the nose reminds many people of exactly that. It is a running note in the distillery whisky, sitting beneath the sherry rather than disappearing into it.

Nose

Sherry and dried fruit, with a green, almost grassy freshness underneath. At 60% the alcohol steps forward clearly until the whisky has had air.

Palate
