This Christmas whisky from the Danish Sall Whisky Distillery is inspired by the Icelandic Christmas lads and their mythical parents. It’s the first release in a new series – a truly Danish Christmas whisky!

The 13 Icelandic Christmas lads are notorious in folklore for terrorizing townsfolk and kidnapping naughty children. Their troll parents, Grýla and Leppalõ, went as far as to eat the misbehaving ones. From the mountains, the lads came down to the town, one by one, over the 13 days leading up to Christmas Eve. The first, Stekkjastaur, known as the "Sheep Scarecrow," stole milk straight from the sheep's udders despite his two stiff wooden legs. This whisky series is a tribute to the dark and fascinating tales of Iceland's Christmas lads, their fearsome parents, and the terrifying Christmas cat.
