Encanto means charm in Spanish, and the name suits this rum well, where the Oliver family's Dominican craftsmanship unites the lively Colombian temperament with the light, elegant Venezuelan style.

    Expert Description

Ron Quorhum 13 Aniversario Encanto is a Dominican Republic Rum aged up to 13 years in American ex-rye whiskey barrels, bottled at 40%.

The rum is produced by Oliver & Oliver Internacional, the family-run distillery outside Santo Domingo, originally founded in Cuba before the family fled to the Dominican Republic in 1963. Encanto combines the best Colombian rums, known for their lively character and depth, with lighter Venezuelan rums, known for their smoothness and elegance. The rum is aged in both static and dynamic ageing systems, where younger and older distillates of varying strength and character are combined.

The result is a silky, aromatic rum, where lively depth meets elegant smoothness.
