Old Perth is an old-school blended whisky. The name refers to the fact that the city of Perth was originally the epicenter of blended whisky. Old Perth was a blend created in 1908 as a tribute to the city. Its popularity is probably due to a large proportion of sherry-stocked whisky. The name was forgotten when the many producers moved out of the city. Today, it is the famous Morrison whisky family that carries on the name and history. They have created a range of whiskies that are blended in Perth - from specially selected single malt whiskies. The whiskies all come from the Glenlivet region of Speyside and are aged exclusively in sherry casks and this edition has been aged in Pedro Ximénez and is bottled at full cask strength.
