One small domaine, one single vintage, one story of soil and weather from 1987 alone. That is how the Darroze family works - they do not buy cognac or armagnac in bulk, they seek out the finest farms and let each place speak for itself.
Expert's Description
Darroze Domaine de La Poste 1987 is a French Bas-Armagnac, 33 years old, bottled at cask strength of 49%.
Behind the bottle stands Maison Darroze from Roquefort in the Landes, a house that since the early 1900s has specialised in seeking out small, independent domaines across Bas-Armagnac, Ténarèze and Haut-Armagnac and bottling their spirit as single vintages under its own name, rather than blending them together.
Domaine de La Poste 1987 is made from 100% Ugni Blanc and bottled at cask strength without reduction, giving an armagnac with full power and an immediate expression of that particular domaine and vintage.
