Maturing entirely on bourbon casks, the wood's influence is clear in the glass: mango, pineapple and vanilla come forward, while Bowmore's own maritime, lightly smoky character runs as an undercurrent throughout. The result is an Islay whisky that leans light and fruity rather than dark and heavy — showing a very different side of Bowmore from the heavily sherried expressions one more commonly encounters.

Tasting notes

Nose

Mango, kiwi peel and tropical fruit meet vanilla pod and marzipan, with a gentle undercurrent of candlelight smoke, a trace of peat and just a hint of maritime minerality behind it all.
