Bornholmer Sidevogn is a Danish bitter at 32% ABV from Den Bornholmske Spritfabrik, whose history stretches back to the steam distillery in Hasle from 1855. The distillery closed after the First World War but was revived in Nexø in 1994, and Sidevogn is the house’s tribute to Danish bodega culture, where a bitter and a beer traditionally go hand in hand. The name refers to exactly this custom, the bitter as the "sidecar" to the cold pilsner.
