Arran 18 years old Island Single Malt Scotch Whisky 70 cl 46%

Arran 18 year old whisky from the small island of Lochranza, where the distillery Arran is located. The whisky is Non Chill Filtered and has a natural color - Natural Colour. The whisky is matured in a combination of 1st fill and 2nd fill hogsheads and bourbon barrels, finished in 1st fill Oloroso sherry casks. It is a "sherry bomb" that has a nice depth of flavor and shows all the many nuances such as caramelized citrus and notes of tropical fruits with a background of burnt oak. Enjoy Arran 18 years in a Glencairn glass.

Isle of Arran Distillery. Non Chill Filtered - Natural Colour

After more than 150 years of absence, legal distillation returned to the Isle of Arran in 1995 when the Isle of Arran distillery distilled its first drops at 14:29 on June 29, 1995. The last legal distillery on Arran closed in 1836.

The exceptionally beautiful Arran distillery is located in the village of Lochranza on the northwestern tip of Arran, and the distillery remains the only one on the island. The whisky from the distillery matures on the distillery's own grounds in some truly unique surroundings. The whisky is aged in sherry and bourbon casks.

The climate on Arran accelerates maturation, and Arran whisky is considered the fastest developing in all of Scotland. This is reportedly due to the warm Gulf Stream that passes the distillery's warehouses. The water for the distillery comes from Loch na Davie spring, which is the purest natural spring in all of Scotland.

The whisky from the distillery is bottled without chill filtration, and no coloring is added. These are the raw drops, developed by the pure nature of the Isle of Arran.

The Arran distillery remains one of the few privately owned distilleries in Scotland. It is operated by a highly experienced team of three men. At the helm is distillery manager James MacTaggart, who has over 30 years of experience in whisky production.

Since 1995, the distillery has been recognized several times for its dynamic force in the Scotch whisky industry. In 2007, Arran was named "Scottish Distiller of the Year" by Whisky Magazine. In 2005, the distillery won "The Queens Award for Enterprise," which is the most prestigious and important award for business in the entire United Kingdom.
