Andrew and Chris from Little Brown Dog have shared a common goal for several years: to create a whisky that doesn’t just appear in small, rare batches, but one that whisky drinkers can actually find regularly on the shelves. The result of that ambition is their upcoming Aberdeenshire Single Malt – based on a 12‑year‑old Glen Garioch normally bottled at 46%. This edition is an exclusive Denmark Edition at full cask strength of 56.7%, fitted with a handwritten and hand‑signed label, as the printed labels simply didn’t arrive in time.

The whisky is non‑chill‑filtered, naturally coloured, and created through LBD’s own cask management and blending philosophy. The vatting consists of 60% first‑fill bourbon casks and 40% sherry casks (PX and oloroso, both refill and first‑fill), giving it a style that differs significantly from an official Glen Garioch. The goal is to create a signature single malt that combines LBD’s uncompromising focus on quality with a more accessible price and genuine availability in shops.

This preview bottling is limited to 36 bottles, each individually hand‑numbered. It is a whisky that works perfectly as a delicious everyday dram, yet still has enough depth to be shared on special occasions. A bottle made for good company – and to give whisky fans an early taste of what will become Little Brown Dog’s first permanent release.
