This cocktail is based on whiskey and definitely Talisker Storm.

Ingredients

• 5 cl Talisker Storm
• 2 dash Angustora Bitter
• 2 cl Sugar syrup
• 4 cl Lemon juice - Freshly squeezed with the Lemon Squeezer
• Egg white
• Top with Danish Water

Procedure

Garnish - Garnish with fennel tops
Serve in a Riedel Glass

Pour all ingredients into the shaker and dry shake (without ice).

About Talisker Whisky:

Talisker is located on the Isle of Skye and is the only distillery on the island. The idea behind Talisker Storm is to revive the style that Talisker had when they started "rejuvenating" used wooden casks. Traditionally, Scotch whisky has always been aged in casks that have been used for other spirits or fortified wines, but once a cask has been reused a number of times, it is 'dead' and no longer imparts anything to the whisky.

It was therefore discovered that you could rejuvenate the casks by scraping the inside clean and then 'toasting' the inside, leaving the cask as good as new. Talisker Storm is a blend of whiskies, some of which have been aged in these 'rejuvenated' casks, others in used bourbon casks.
