The exotic flavor of horchata inspired Tom Maas after he retired from his job as a marketing manager for spirits company Beam Global. He mixed the first RumChata in his own kitchen and after many attempts, the easy-drinking RumChata was born. Today, RumChata is often drunk simply on the rocks, in iced or hot coffee, depending on the season, and in a variety of drinks and as a light shot in both homes and bars.
