MAI TAI

The Perfect Cocktail - Mai Tai The southern sun and summer have made this drink highly sought after, originally invented in the 1940s by Vic Bergeron and his first guest to try his new creation came from Tahiti and exclaimed excitedly: "Mai tai...roe ae" which means something along the lines of "Unearthly good".

At Whisky.dk we believe that the better the products used, the better the drink.

Pour the ingredients into a shaker and shake vigorously for about 10 seconds, then strain into a Riedel glass - not chilled beforehand.
Garnish with a mint sprig + lemon zest on the rim of the glass and serve with a straw or stirring stick.
Garnish - Lemon zest. (Use the traditional lemon peel twisted over the glass to release the bitter citrus oils of the peel)
