Dailuaine 2013/2023 Lady of the Glen 10 years is a Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky matured in a refill hogshead with a subsequent tawny port finish and bottled at cask strength of 59%.

The whisky was distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2023 by Lady of the Glen, the Scottish independent bottler from Fife founded in 2012 by Gregor Hannah. A refill cask works more slowly than a first fill, which leaves room for the port finish to make its mark without fighting the oak. Dailuaine's heavy, malted spirit has enough body to carry both.

Tasting notes

Nose

Dark fruit and nuts first. Dried fig, walnut and caramel, with malt and a warm spiced note underneath.

Palate

Powerful and dense. Caramelised nuts, dried fruit and malt, with the dry edge of the port and a peppery warmth from the 59%. The texture is oily despite the young age.

Finish

Long and dry, with nuts, caramel and a warm spiced close.
