Ribera del Duero sits high and dry on the Castilian plateau, where wide swings between day and night temperatures push the grapes to build colour and flavour deep into the skin.
Expert's Description
Arroyo 2023 Roble Ribera del Duero is a Red Wine from Ribera del Duero, Spain made from Tinta del País, bottled at 14.5% ABV.
Tinta del País is the local clone of Tempranillo, grown here on the plateau's lean soils and ripening slowly thanks to the cool night-time temperatures. Roble means "oak" and denotes a short, young cask ageing that gives the wine structure without overpowering the fruit. The 2023 vintage drinks best now and over the next 3-4 years.
