Opthimus barricas de Malt Whisky rum has been aged for 25 years in ex-bourbon casks and then matured in a used single malt cask. This very deep and dark combination of rum and whisky can be difficult to master, but Opthimus has managed to create a blend in a class of its own. The aroma offers a mix of syrup, ripe fruit and a hint of the malted whisky. The taste is strong and bold with flavors of nougat and spices.
